JUST IN: Government Agencies Disengaged Over 500 of its Staff Members

One of the Federal Government agencies operating as a subsidiary of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Nigeria Incentive-Based Risk Sharing System for Agricultural Lending (NIRSAL) has reportedly disengaged over 500 of its staff members.

 

 

Former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani, who revealed this in a post on his verified X handle, on Thursday, said the affected persons are said to have worked in the organisation as contract staff for several years.

He said, if the report is confirmed to be true, the sack would have a major effect on the affected staff.

“Learned that NIRSAL has dismissed over 500 staff who have worked for over 7 years as contract staff. I f this is true, then it’s going to be tough for the affected staff,” he said.

Attempt by Platinum Post reporter to confirm the reported sack from NIRSAL has not yielded the desired result at the time of filing this story.

Recall that NIRSAL is a non-bank agriculture-focused institution that promotes commercial lending to key players in the Agricultural sector of the Nigerian economy, by de-risking such lending.
