According to its audited results, the Group’s stellar performance was powered by a 110% surge in interest income to N3.480 trillion and a 47.8% growth in non-interest income to N1.397 trillion, buoyed by its expanding retail banking base, digital transformation, and effective trading strategies.
Profit before tax grew by 19% to N867.0 billion, while profit after tax reached N642.2 billion, despite challenging macroeconomic conditions. Total assets also saw a strong 55.5% increase to N41.498 trillion, with customer deposits climbing 47% to N22.525 trillion. Shareholders’ funds stood at N3.760 trillion — up by 72% year-on-year.
Beyond financial metrics, Access Holdings made profound social, environmental, and economic impacts across the continent. Through targeted corporate social investments in education, health, entrepreneurship, and sustainability, the Group reached over 21 million individuals in 2024. Its employee wellness programmes benefited 28,000 staff members across various countries.
The Group’s flagship subsidiary, Access Bank, advanced its commitment to gender empowerment by disbursing loans to over one million women-led SMEs under its W-Initiative. It also disbursed 1.6 million digital loans to low-income individuals, booked its first N1.4 billion diaspora mortgage loan, and facilitated $437.42 million in DFI inflows to support MSMEs across Africa.
On the sustainability front, the Group reduced its operational carbon emissions by 13.4%, planted over 57,000 trees, and enabled solar power for 226 homes and businesses. Its headquarters received the prestigious IFC EDGE Green Building Certification for sustainable design and efficiency.

Access Holdings also led the pack in regulatory compliance by becoming the first institution to meet the Central Bank of Nigeria’s recapitalisation directive, raising ₦351 billion via a rights issue. These funds are being strategically channelled into digital infrastructure, liquidity enhancement, and expansion initiatives.
The Group further extended its international reach in 2024 with the launch of operations in Hong Kong, regulatory approvals in Malta, and successful integration of subsidiaries in Zambia and Tanzania. International operations now contribute 48.5% to the Group’s profit before tax in the banking segment.
