In a strong show of corporate social responsibility, Prostar Sports International, a leading name in sports equipment and apparel, has partnered with the ‘Pad Me A Girl Initiative’ to promote menstrual health education and empower young girls across Nigeria.

The initiative, spearheaded by Gatmash Media, praised Prostar Sports for its commitment to the cause. The company donated specially customized shirts emblazoned with the ‘Pad Me A Girl‘ logo, designed to raise awareness and break stigmas surrounding menstrual health. The shirts are crafted from high-quality, breathable fabric to ensure maximum comfort and durability for recipients.

“We’re thrilled to have Prostar Sports International on board,” said Theresa Moses, Convener of the Pad Me A Girl Initiative. “Their support through customized shirts not only promotes our message but also symbolizes solidarity with the girls we aim to empower.”

Mr. Paul Maduakor, CEO of Prostar Sports International, emphasized the company’s dedication to social causes: “At Prostar Sports International, we are passionate about empowering young girls and promoting menstrual health awareness. We are proud to stand with the Pad Me A Girl Initiative and contribute to building a more inclusive and supportive community.”

Since its inception, the Pad Me A Girl Initiative has positively impacted over 2,000 girls and women in internally displaced persons (IDP) camps in Abuja and Benue State. The program provides reusable sanitary pads alongside vital menstrual health education, helping girls manage their periods with dignity and confidence.

The next phase of the project, set to launch in June/July 2025, aims to expand its outreach through the ‘Access PAD Me A Girl’ PAD Bank, which will provide young girls with free sanitary pads monthly, further strengthening the initiative’s mission to ensure no girl is left behind.
