LAGESC Rescues Child From Alakija Junkyard

Operatives of the Lagos Environmental Sanitation Corps (LAGESC), popularly known as KAI, have rescued a child found at the Alakija Junkyard along the Lagos-Badagry Expressway.

The circumstances surrounding how the child ended up at the junkyard were not immediately clear.

The rescue operation has raised concerns over child safety and the growing risks faced by vulnerable children in densely populated and informal environments across Lagos.
