Police Fire Teargas At #EndSARS Procession

Fresh reports have emerged that the situation has changed at the #EndSARS procession to commemorate the second-year memorial of the EndSARS protest shooting at the Lekki tollgate

The Press Nigeria learnt that what started as a peaceful protest has turned to chaos as police operatives were reported to have fired teargas canisters at protesters at Lekki tollgate in Lagos.

Some of the protesters were reported to have taken to their heels to safety.

The protesters had gathered at the plaza to place dummy coffins they made in remembrance of those whose lives were lost before police fired teargas canisters.

Two of the organisers, the popular rapper, Folarin Falana, known as ‘Falz’, and a comedian, Adebowale Adedayo, aka ‘Mr Macaroni’ also lent their voices to the demonstration.
