Sanwo-Olu Calls for Unity

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has extended warm Easter greetings to Christians across Lagos and Nigeria, urging citizens to embrace love, unity, and peaceful coexistence during the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

In a message signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Gboyega Akosile, Governor Sanwo-Olu encouraged Christians to reflect on the core values of Easter—humility, sacrifice, compassion, and perseverance—as demonstrated by Jesus Christ.

He emphasized that the Easter season offers an opportunity for Nigerians to promote mutual understanding and harmony among people of different faiths.

“Today, I wish all Lagosians and Christians across Nigeria and the world a Happy Easter as we remember the sacrifice and love of Jesus towards mankind,” the governor said.

“As we commemorate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, I want Lagosians and Nigerians in general to make togetherness and unity the central goal of our nationality.”

Sanwo-Olu also called on residents to be good neighbours and contribute positively to their communities, adding that such virtues are essential for the continued growth and development of both Lagos State and the country at large.
