A high-level delegation of the Ijaw National Congress (INC), led by its President, Prof. Benjamin Okaba, paid a courtesy visit to former President Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan to formally present the burial arrangements for the late Pa Dr. Edwin Kiagbodo Clark, a revered leader and Grand Commander of the Niger Delta Struggle.

The delegation included Engr. Ebipamowei Wodu, INC National Secretary; Chief Ebikeme Clark, eldest son of the late elder statesman; and the Chairman of the National Burial Committee, who outlined the carefully planned funeral activities.

During the meeting, the team sought Dr. Jonathan’s support and blessing, acknowledging his pivotal role as a respected Ijaw leader. Dr. Jonathan warmly received the delegation and pledged his full commitment to ensuring that Pa Clark’s final rites are conducted with honor and dignity.

The visit was a crucial step in preserving the legacy of Pa Edwin Clark, whose lifelong advocacy for justice and development in the Niger Delta remains an inspiration.

“May God grant us the grace to give the king of the Ijaws a befitting burial,” the delegation affirmed.
