Nigerian gospel music star and worship leader, Nathaniel Bassey, has crossed an impressive milestone on Spotify, recording about 450.4 million career streams on the global music streaming platform.

The latest figures, compiled by Spotify and Kworbs as of August 25, 2026, show that Bassey’s catalogue continues to enjoy strong digital traction, with his 10 most-streamed songs accounting for approximately 196.1 million streams, representing about 43.5 per cent of his total Spotify career streams.

Leading the pack is his widely acclaimed worship song, “Olorun Agbaye (You Are Mighty),” which has amassed 37.84 million streams, making it Bassey’s most-streamed song on Spotify.

It is followed by “Adonai,” with 25.68 million streams, while “You Are God,” featuring Chigozie Achugo, occupies the third position with 19.85 million streams.

Bassey’s “Imela,” featuring Enitan Adaba, ranks fourth with 18.90 million streams, while “See What the Lord Has Done” follows closely with 17.54 million streams.

Other songs in the top 10 are “Yahweh Sabaoth” with 17.44 million streams; “Tobechukwu (Live)” with 16.74 million; “Iba” with 16.04 million; “Jesus Iye” with 14.17 million; and “Onise Iyanu,” featuring Micah Stampley, with 12.71 million streams.

The figures highlight the remarkable digital reach of Bassey’s worship music, particularly as streaming platforms continue to reshape how gospel music is consumed across Nigeria and beyond.

With nearly half of his career Spotify streams concentrated in just 10 songs, Bassey’s performance also demonstrates the staying power of his biggest worship anthems, many of which have become familiar sounds in churches, Christian gatherings and personal worship playlists.

At the top of the ranking, “Olorun Agbaye” alone accounts for more than 8 per cent of Bassey’s reported career Spotify streams, further cementing its status as one of the defining songs in his catalogue.

The latest milestone adds to Bassey’s growing influence in the Nigerian and international gospel music scene, where his songs have increasingly travelled beyond church walls to reach millions of listeners through digital platforms.
