The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has received six Nigerian returnees from the United States of America at the Cargo Terminal of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos State.

The returnees, comprising five males and one female, arrived in Nigeria on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at approximately 10:13 p.m. aboard a Beechcraft 1900 aircraft with registration number N62FF.

The reception exercise was coordinated by NEMA’s Lagos Operations Office in collaboration with the United States Consulate, Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) and ExecuJet.

Upon arrival, immigration officers conducted the necessary documentation and profiling to establish the identities of the returnees and ensure proper record-keeping.

NEMA also coordinated with the relevant agencies to provide reception and post-arrival support services, aimed at facilitating the returnees’ transition following their arrival in the country.

The exercise underscores the Federal Government’s commitment to ensuring the safe, orderly and dignified return of Nigerian citizens through cooperation among relevant government agencies and international partners.
