Adebutu Unveils Seven-Point Agenda

The Ogun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) flagged off its campaign for the 2023 general election in Abeokuta, the state capital on Friday.

The Press Nigeria reports that PDP members from all the 236 wards in the state were reported to have converged at the Ake Palace Ground for the campaign event.

At the event, the Ogun PDP governorship candidate, Ladi Adebutu unveiled the seven-point agenda of his manifesto, which includes security, local government autonomy, rural development, healthcare, education, agricultural development and youths development as his top priorities if voted into power in 2023.

Present at the event were the hitherto aggrieved factions of the party led by Samson Bamgbose and Segun Seriki, who brokered peace with Adebutu and decided to support him.

Adebutu expressed gladness that God had vindicated the PDP by giving him and other candidates victory in court.

It would be recalled that an Appeal Court in Ibadan had last week reinstated Adebutu as the governorship candidate of the party and 39 others as the PDP candidates in Ogun.

Below are some photos from the event:
