Ogun Will Miss Oladunjoye

Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, on Sunday paid glowing tribute to the late Comrade Tunde Oladunjoye, describing him as a pillar of support to his administration and a fearless advocate of government policies.

Speaking at the Fidau Prayer held in honour of the late APC Publicity Secretary at St. John Community Primary School, Ijebu Itele, the governor said Oladunjoye played a critical role in stabilizing his administration from inception and remained steadfast in defending its policies and programmes until his death.

“As a party man and aide, Oladunjoye never did anything in half measures. He was a tireless defender of our administration’s policies, a prolific writer, and a brilliant spokesman. His contributions were instrumental in building the image of the Ogun APC and advancing our development agenda,” Abiodun said.

The governor described him as resourceful, tenacious, and loyal, recalling that Oladunjoye was one of three key figures who stood by him during the formative days of his government. He added that Oladunjoye’s legacy as a local government chairman and party spokesman remains visible and impactful.

“He was frank, forthright, and deeply committed to the cause he believed in. His loyalty and doggedness helped shape the APC’s reputation in the state,” he added, assuring the bereaved family of the government’s continued support.

Also speaking at the event, APC State Chairman, Chief Yemi Sanusi, expressed deep sorrow over Oladunjoye’s passing, calling it a devastating loss to the party and the state. He highlighted Oladunjoye’s unwavering dedication during challenging moments in the party’s history.

The State 2025 Amirul Hajj and National President of ACOMORAN, Prince Adebayo Apelogun, reminded attendees of the transient nature of life, urging everyone to live righteously and leave lasting legacies.

In an emotional tribute, Robiat, daughter of the deceased, described her father as upright, humble, and selfless. She praised his dedication to the welfare of others and his unwavering principles, saying, “Though he is gone, his memory and values live on.”

Comrade Tunde Oladunjoye was widely regarded as a strong voice in Ogun politics and a staunch defender of the people’s interest. His passing leaves a significant void in the state’s political landscape.
