Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has felicitated with Muslims in Lagos and across Nigeria on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitri, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Gboyega Akosile, the governor urged Muslims to uphold the values of Ramadan by continuing to show love, compassion, and care, especially to the less privileged.

Sanwo-Olu emphasized the significance of Ramadan as a period of spiritual renewal and self-discipline, urging the faithful to sustain the virtues of patience, tolerance, and kindness beyond the fasting period. He also called for continued prayers for peace, stability, and development in Lagos and Nigeria.

“We should not limit the goodness of our deeds to the Ramadan period alone; we must make the lessons and acts our way of life,” the governor said.

He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to fostering peaceful coexistence among all religious groups and encouraged Muslims to remain steadfast in their faith and contributions to societal progress.
