Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, is set to perform the groundbreaking ceremony for a proposed 450-hectare ultra-modern industrial park being developed by multinational conglomerate Lee Group along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

The ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, November 12, 2026, at the project site near Makun Village, close to the Sagamu Interchange.

The development is expected to accommodate 29 factories and supporting commercial, hospitality and recreational facilities, marking another major proposed investment in Ogun State’s industrial sector.

The factories are expected to produce a wide range of goods, including footwear and leather products, plastics, packaging materials, personal care products and household items.

The industrial park will also feature conference halls and hospitality facilities designed to support business activities and provide complementary services within the complex.

Its location along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, close to the Sagamu Interchange, is expected to offer businesses convenient access to major markets in Ogun and Lagos states, as well as distribution routes serving other parts of Nigeria and the wider West African region.

Beyond manufacturing, the project is expected to create direct and indirect employment opportunities, stimulate commercial activities and open up business prospects for local suppliers, logistics companies, contractors and service providers.

Small and medium-scale enterprises are also expected to benefit from opportunities to supply goods and services to the factories and other businesses operating within the proposed industrial complex.

The project aligns with the Abiodun administration’s focus on industrialisation, investment promotion, infrastructure development and job creation. Ogun State’s proximity to Lagos, road connectivity and existing industrial clusters have helped strengthen its position as a destination for manufacturing and other private-sector investments.

However, the project’s construction timeline, total investment value and projected employment figures have not been disclosed in the information provided.
