The Kaduna State Government has denied approving or releasing N2.3 trillion for the flag-off of the All Progressives Congress (APC) 2027 presidential campaign in the state.

The government described a letter circulating on social media alleging that the state approved the expenditure as fabricated and intended to mislead the public and damage the reputation of Governor Uba Sani.

The Commissioner for Information and Culture, Ahmed Maiyaki, disclosed the government’s position in a statement issued on Sunday.

Maiyaki dismissed the document as false, insisting that the state government neither approved nor released the alleged N2.3 trillion for the APC campaign event.

The denial follows the circulation of the purported letter on social media, which sparked claims about the alleged use of public funds for the ruling party’s campaign activities.

The state government maintained that the document was designed to create a false impression about the governor and his administration.

The Press Nigeria reports that the government has urged the public not to be misled by the circulating document.
