Ogun Council Approves New Alaperu, Awujako

The Ogun State Executive Council has approved the appointment of Prince Shehu Quadri Taiwo as the new Alaperu of Iperu in Ikenne Local Government Area of the state.

The council also approved the appointment of Prince Akeem Akinyemi as the new Awujako of Ijako-Orile in Yewa North Local Government Area.

The approvals were granted at the council’s meeting held on Thursday, October 15, 2026.

Both appointments take effect from Thursday, October 15, 2026.

The appointments mark a new chapter in the traditional leadership of Iperu and Ijako-Orile communities in Ogun State.
