Nestlé Nigeria Plc has appointed Toritseju (Toju) Egbebi as its Corporate Communications and Sustainability Manager, effective November 1, 2026, following the retirement of Victoria Uwadoka after a decade with the company.

Egbebi, who currently serves as Corporate Affairs Manager at Nestlé Nigeria, brings 18 years of experience in public relations and corporate communications across the technology, financial services and consumer goods sectors.

During her time at Nestlé Nigeria, she has played a key role in strengthening the company’s corporate reputation, public affairs activities and stakeholder engagement.

Through the company’s *Nestlé for Good* platform, Egbebi has helped improve public understanding of its investments in healthier nutrition, thriving communities and environmental sustainability. She has also strengthened strategic relationships with the media and other stakeholders.

She takes over from Uwadoka, who spent 10 years helping to shape Nestlé Nigeria’s corporate reputation, stakeholder relationships and Creating Shared Value agenda.

During her tenure, Uwadoka advanced the company’s communications and sustainability priorities across nutrition, youth empowerment, agriculture, water stewardship, environmental responsibility and community development.

She also championed employee engagement and helped translate complex corporate and sustainability initiatives into clear communications aimed at building public understanding and trust.

Beyond her corporate responsibilities, Uwadoka has contributed to the development of Nigeria’s communications profession through industry leadership, advocacy and mentorship, promoting strategic communications as a driver of business growth and societal progress.

Commenting on the transition, Nestlé Nigeria’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Wassim Elhusseini, expressed appreciation for Uwadoka’s contributions and confidence in Egbebi’s ability to lead the function.

“Victoria has made an important contribution to Nestlé Nigeria over the past decade, and we are deeply grateful for the leadership, professionalism and commitment she has brought to our business and the communications profession. We wish her every success in this next chapter,” Elhusseini said.

He added that Egbebi’s experience and judgement would support the company’s efforts to strengthen stakeholder relationships and communicate its impact in Nigeria.

“As Toju takes on this responsibility, I have every confidence in the experience, judgement and energy she brings to the role. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement are fundamental to building trust and advancing our purpose, and I am confident she will continue strengthening these relationships while helping us demonstrate the positive impact of our business in Nigeria,” he said.

Egbebi’s appointment comes as businesses increasingly rely on effective corporate communications and sustainability strategies to maintain public trust, strengthen stakeholder relationships and demonstrate their contributions to communities and the wider economy.
